ROOTED

A materiality focused approach to creating was at the forefront of my practice throughout the project. Utilising more ecologically responsible materials has been an essential component of the research progression and design development of my work. Craft skills including macramé, crochet, knitting, weaving and sewing were used to create the sculptural components of Rooted. Cotton, jute, bamboo, paper, clay and aluminium were the materials used throughout the project.
